Afin de coordonner les prochains événements relatifs au vélo polo en Suisse, comme par exemple les qualifications aux euros 2011 (EHBPC 2011) qui se tiendront à Barcelone nous vous invitons à rejoindre le groupe facebook suivant:

Swiss Bike Polo

L'idée serait d'avoir au moins une personne représentant sa ville présente dans ce groupe.

Oldest bike polo player found in the swiss alps.

During a very lovely polo tournement in the alpine villge of Bex some acheologues found the probably oldest bike polo player in history! The location of the discovery of the rests from a dead polo player's body was just some hundred meters above the mentionned mountain village (see the arrow on the picture). It seems that the discovered subject was part of decadent civilisation located in the swiss alps. The skeletal remains were fount on the bottom of an abandonned swimming pool.

The scientists identified the found individual clearly as a "bike-polo playing creature".

This thesis was proved by the very distinctive features found in the proximity of the subject. So he had still a cigaret in his mouth and he was also wearing a helmet.


The scientists could not clearly identify the cause of his death. Probably his was involved in a heavy crash or he consumed to much drugs or his death was the consequence of the connexion of the former mentionned reasons.

L'affaire est assez simple: Il y a dès qui vont aller à Berlin, d'autres non.
Le tounoi commence samedi vers 10h à la praille.

Le tournoi des séléctions aura lieu à genève - la praille le 5 juin 2010.
Les championnats du monde auront lieu à Berlin les 13, 14 et 15 Août 2010 à Berlin.
Seulement 3 équipes suisse pourront aller en Allemagne pour défendre les couleurs de not' drapeau.
Aller on se motive les gros!

EHBPC Poster

Finally the decision about the poster for the EHBPC has been settled. Thanks to Clément for his zoologic artwork! Perhabs some words about the purpose of the polo-playing animals are needed. The germans immediatly associated the "pferdle" and the "äffle" with the two protagonists of the picture above, what is in fact not such a strange idea if you check out this picture. But we want to clarify that the friend of the ape is not a horse but a crocodile. The shown animals are two of three supposed polo characters found in every polo team (the third one, the rabbit missed the poster-shooting). The (french) "croco" stands for the well-built player snapping at every opportunity to score. The ape is the intelligent strategic operator in the team, while the rabbit, also his tiny constitution is fast and at every spot on the court at the same time. Check out the EHBPC website, it will be updated regularly the coming weeks before the tournement.

Friendship-Invitational-Calvin-Masters

Le dernier weekend s'est terminé le 1er tournoi international à Genève, qui était en même temps un test pour les EHBPC en juillet. Avant qu'on oublie cet inoubliable évènement le grandseigneur du polo genevois Eddy Marx aimerait remercier les Rotten Apples, les Broken Legs, les Rolling Hoods, Les Clowns, les MGM's, les Filibusters, les Motoeurfuckers, L'equipe, les Iron Ponies, le Team Sparton et Team DAR pour pour leur visite de Genève et de leur participation au tournoi. Voici quelques impressions.

Ah bon!?

Apparement L'Equipe a de nouveau gagné un tournoi européen. Dans un final contre les Toros ils se sont imposé knapp mais pas unverdient avec 5:4.

Comme d'habitude on aimerais remercier les Organisateurs Karlsruhenais pour un tournoi de la, disons, surballe! (Je ne sais pas si ça se dit, mais s'est bien adapté à la situation) Un aimerais également remercier Steffen et sa copine Susanne pour leur acceuil chaleureux dans leur joli appartement, où nos amis chaotiques de Londres, Malice international,) ont également trouvés un abri.
Oublions pas de féliciter les Iron Poneys qui ont joué un super tournoi et qui se sont laissé dompter uniquement par les Zombies United. Dommage, mais pour leur deuxième tournoi pas mal du tout. Clément a d'ailleurs déjà sorti son documentaire ingénieux sur Viméo

Karlsruhe wir kommen!

On a attendue longtemps et on s'est entrainé comme des vrais pendant que nos boissons à coté du court se sont déformé en petites glaçons. Mais le temps d'attente se termine gentiment.
Le deuxième Weekend de février on (Iron Ponies / L' Equipe) débarque à Karlsruhe pour commencer la saison 2010 - Grande année de Polo pour Genève. Les Infos: Greifmasters.com
